Our cables likely represent the top of the line currently available for three reasons:
AWG stands for American Wire Gauge, which is the standard used in the U.S. to define the diameter or cross-sectional area that an electrical conductor must have in order to properly carry a given amount of electrical current. Electricity is like water: depending on the number of liters (or amps) per second that need to flow, the diameter of the pipe (or wire) must be adequate—the larger the diameter, the higher the current it can carry. If the diameter is smaller than the minimum required, it simply won’t be able to transport that amount of water (or amps). If we don’t use the proper wire gauge for our amplifiers, they won’t be able to deliver the power they promise. It’s that simple.
As odd as it may sound to mention, each SUONO cable gauge contains the correct copper conductor diameter it’s supposed to have. Unfortunately, this is not always the case with other brands today.
Below are the correct diameters and cross-sectional areas for the AWG gauges, according to the Electrical Engineer’s Handbook. Electric Power. 4th Edition by Harold Pender and William A. Del Mar, November 1953:

That’s right—our cable is made of pure copper. Copper is the second-best electrical conductor in existence, only behind silver. Today, many other brands offer aluminum cable or copper-aluminum alloys, which are more economical, but they cannot perform in the same way…
It contains what appears to be the maximum possible number of strands, along with an ultra-flexible PVC jacket that is highly resistant to heat and corrosive agents. A more flexible cable is easier to install and to conceal under carpeting. Additionally, the more strands a cable has, the more resistant it is to vibration-related fatigue failures…
